An enormous thank you to Grand Master Bobby Taboada for a fantastic weekend of instruction and brotherhood! Grand Master Taboada tested our endurance in a marathon training session "polishing our techniques" as he likes to say. I am proud of our students and the hard work that they put into their training but it is a true gift to be able to watch Grand Master Taboada coax the next level of speed and power out of them with the most subtle of adjustment. It is like watching a magician. It is inspirational to see Grand Master Taboada's gift for teaching first hand, a level for all of us to aspire to.
We would also like to thank Richmond Balintatwak Founder Jemar Carcellar for making the trek up from Atlanta to check in on us and share in the fellowship. We would also like to give an extra special thank you to Guro Bob Sullen and Chief Master Zac Taco for making the long trip down from upstate New York to be with us! It was a pleasure to be back in the company of these amazing men and an honor to host them in Richmond. Having them around was an immeasurable contribution, to training and to dinner conversation. :) It is always good to have family around, and I can't wait until next time!
Thank you to everyone who came out to support us, I hope you learned as much as I did. Needless to say we have plenty of material to work on and will spend our time putting Grand Master Taboada's lessons to good use, making sure that we stay polished and do not tarnish!
