Wayne Allan Broughman, 1944-2017

It is with the heaviest of hearts that we announce the passing of Wayne Allan Broughman, Jemar Carcellar's Father-in-law and avid supporter of Richmond Balintawak. Please keep Wayne, Jemar, and their family in your thoughts. He will be greatly missed.

Wayne Allan Broughman, 73, of Henrico County, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 10, 2017.  He is survived by his brother Sonny (Vicki), and children Natalie (Jemar Carcellar), Rachel (Mark Snyder), Wayne Jr (Sarah), and Teddy (Harry Jaeger).

Wayne cherished most in life spending time with his family, especially his children and grandchildren. If my daddy was here today he would say, "Give me a hug", as well as always sending hugs over the phone to his long distance loved one's.

He also enjoyed listening to music of various genres and playing backgammon on the internet with different people from all over the world.  He loved to dance and he certainly had the groove!  One of his favorite past times was cooking Filipino dishes and other dishes in such a large quantity so he could share with his friends, family and neighbors.

He truly loved nature and would always reminisce about the mountains of Virginia and Douthat State Park.  The highlights of his year were the Fall Festival in Clifton Forge, Virginia and the Annual Clifton Forge High School Alumni Reunion.

Memorial Services will be held September 22nd, at Affinity Funeral Services in Richmond, Virginia. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. – 4 p.m. followed by a Memorial Service at 4 p.m.
